This legitimate successor to the GM Night Seeker was based on the GM Light Armor to enhance mobility. The GM Night Seeker, which was based on the GM, was designed for special operations such as recapturing key bases and undertaking high altitude airborne infiltrations. However, due to the demands of the frontline, the GM Night Seeker II's base unit was changed to the GM Light Armor. A removable thruster for airborne missions was added to its design in order to best suit the characteristics of the GM Light Armor. But since the extra thruster was an excellent multipurpose acceleration booster, it was usually kept intact to more effectively perform ambush or hit-and-run missions. Ultimately, the Night Seeker type made use of a powerful extra thruster to easily transform an existing unit into a high-mobility ace. According to record, some GM units were also modified into the Night Seeker type after the war.
